Great little book, very authentic Irish writing, very Catholic. Unusual. Depicts a family in middle life, the wife going thru illnes, the husband hating his job as a policeman and the children growing up very poor but in a heavily stuctured home . Actually a beautiful discription of Irish society written in the '30's
Do you find this valuable?
