Alexander Pushkin

Alexander Pushkin Aleksandr Sergeyevich Pushkin was a descendent of the oldest families of the Russian gentry. He published his first poem at the age of fifteen, and was already considered a great literary talent by the time he graduated from the Imperial Lyceum. During his time, many of his poems were considered controversial, to the point that there was fear of a political demonstration at his funeral. Today, he is considered the father of Russian literature.
