From arcamaxbooks:
- Frankenstein: I read this in high school, and I still love it. I heard a rumor that Mary Shelley actually based the monster on her husband, Percy Bysshe Shelley. Is this true?
- The Time Machine: This keeps getting remade in movies, but the original is great. It was written in 1898, but so much of it still rings true today. Most interesting (to me, anyway) is the Victorian view of the distant future -- a good look at what they valued then and wouldn't want to lose.
