I came across Marie Corelli via some reference [which I now forget], which linked her into fantasy writing. I once tried reading Marie Corelli's "The Mighty Atom". It is sadly unutterably dull, with no redeeming features. Unfortunately, whatever the importance of what she had to say, she is now nothing more than a curiosity.

Mind you, plenty of contemporary prize-winning novels are equally turgid and pretentious.

This book requires an imagination and a love of reading.... It started a little slow and grew and grew... it was wonderful, fun to imagine and and quite brilliant..... Do you find this valuable?

I have both imagination and a love of reading - just to correct your assumption.

Please enlarge upon what you considered the finer qualities of the book. We may be the only two have read it in the past several years.

I have read two of her books - Ziska and Romance of Two Worlds, and thought she possessed extraordinary imagination and was extremely sentimental. Though, I believe Ziska can be made into an interesting melodramatic film Do you find this valuable?

I have been a fan of Marie Corelli for over a decade, and I am absolutely amazed at the idea that anyone in today's day and age knows of her works. I have read A Romance of Two Worlds, Ardath, Barabbas, The Sorrows of Satan, The Murder of Delica, Boy, and The Master Christian. I can say that I have never been disappointed in anyone of her novels.
The only reason why I signed up is to mention to TREVOR1954, that you must be a very dull and average person. Because, Marie Corelli has an intellect and insight that surpasses many, and if you can't grasp her message I fell very sorry for you.
